Research 2024

Soil regenerative
health studies A-1

Missouri soils are reliably under 2% organic content. Driving down needed water retention capabilities  and overall soil health. Limiting specialty crop production and increasing chemical requirements to amend soils for low to moderate production, This study focuses on on farm large scale composting of cow manure through a natural enzyme product labeled D-Comp.

Organic Research

Cow Manure Composting
A-2

Cow manure is widely available to most farmers. Manure is away to reduce chemical fertilizers and reduce inputs on the farm.  This study is focused on rapid break down and production of rich compost using cow, horse and pig manure. Goals are focused on using accessible additives, increasing the speed of creating rich organic compost, and the ease of recreating a compost program on other farms.

Our Work

Welcome to B&B Farm and Research. Our non-for-profit organization was born out of the need to protect and build a stronger tomorrow for Missouri agriculture industries.

Today we often see family farms being sold, younger generations no longer interested in continuing to farm, lack of affordable equipment and little research on how to fix Missouri's farm soils driven into wastelands.

B&B intends on making a difference today by providing a platform for education, research and access to needed equipment. This organization seeks to help those that have a solid business structure but lacks access to needed tools and education.
